Prime Video has dropped the trailer for Masterplan, a French-Italian original film led by Academy Award nominee Stanley Tucci that blends an international heist with an unexpected family reunion.
Tucci stars as a legendary master thief who assembles an unlikely team to steal the Mona Lisa. His recruits include Chiara, an Italian cybercrime specialist played by Simona Tabasco, and Jay, a French explosives expert portrayed by Victor Belmondo. Their mission takes an unexpected turn when the pair discover they are long-lost siblings — and that the criminal mastermind leading the operation is their father. Forced into an uneasy partnership, the trio must overcome years of separation and personal conflict if they hope to pull off what is billed as the heist of the century.
Masterplan is directed by Thomas Vincent, whose previous credits include Reacher, Bodyguard and Versailles. Vincent also co-wrote the project with BAFTA-winning screenwriter David Wolstencroft, based on a story developed by Giacomo Durzi, Alessandro Fabbri, Alberto Vignati, Wolstencroft and Vincent. The film is a co-production between Gaumont and Amazon MGM Studios and was filmed on location in France and Italy.
Masterplan is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Prime Video on Oct. 16 in more than 240 countries and territories. See the trailer: HERE.
