Netflix’s hit series Wednesday is expanding its lineup once again, with three well-known actors stepping in for guest appearances. Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, and James Lance have officially joined the third season, which is currently filming in Dublin, Ireland.

Inspired by Charles Addams’ iconic characters, the series is described as “a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy.” Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, the show is directed and executive produced by Tim Burton.

The latest additions to the cast join a growing list of newly announced actors, including Eva Green—set to portray Morticia’s sister—as well as Winona Ryder, Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan, and Kennedy Moyer. Meanwhile, familiar faces remain central to the story, with Jenna Ortega returning as Wednesday Addams alongside Emma Myers and Fred Armisen. The ensemble cast also features Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Hunter Doohan, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Isaac Ordonez, Billie Piper, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Victor Dorobantu, Evie Templeton, and Joanna Lumley.

Season 3 continues from the dramatic ending of the previous installment, where Wednesday set off with Uncle Fester to try and save her friend Enid from a dangerous fate tied to her werewolf identity. While Netflix hasn’t announced a release date yet, the show’s rollout strategy remains unpredictable. The first season debuted during Thanksgiving 2022 and became a massive success, ranking as the platform’s most-watched English-language series. Season 2 followed with a split release in August and September 2025, a format the streamer may use again.
