FX has renewing the popular docuseries ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ for three more seasons, ensuring its run will extend through at least Season 8.

The series chronicles the journey of actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney as they take ownership of the Welsh football club and work to transform both the team and its community. Since its debut, the show has become a major success, resonating with viewers worldwide.

The announcement arrived just weeks before Season 5 debuted last month. The upcoming season continues to track Wrexham AFC’s remarkable rise as the club pushes for a historic climb to the Premier League after securing three straight promotions—an achievement never before seen in English Football League history.

“This three-season renewal is a testament to the vision of Rob and Ryan and the enduring connection they’ve built with fans around the world,” said FX Entertainment president Nick Grad.

Reynolds and McElhenney added: “A three-season order for a TV series is nearly unheard of and is only possible through the ground-breaking work of our Emmy-winning documentary team and the relentless rise of Wrexham AFC and all those working so hard to make sports history.”
