Netflix has renewed The Hunting Wives for a third season, giving the drama an early vote of confidence nearly two months before its second season arrives. The eight-episode Season 3 will continue the series from creator, showrunner, writer and executive producer Rebecca Cutter, although Netflix has not yet announced a release date or full Season 3 cast.

Based on May Cobb’s bestselling novel, The Hunting Wives debuted in July 2025 and quickly became a breakout title for Netflix. The first season spent five weeks on the streamer’s Global Top 10 English-language TV list, reached No. 2 worldwide during its second week and appeared in the Top 10 in 40 countries, reaching No. 1 in 10 countries, including the United States. Netflix says the series has generated more than 35 million views since its debut.

The Season 3 renewal comes as The Hunting Wives prepares for its second season, which premieres Nov. 26. Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman return as Sophie O’Neil and Margo Banks, respectively. The series follows Sophie, a wife and mother who moves from the East Coast to Maple Brook and becomes entangled with Margo and her wealthy social circle. Season 2 finds Sophie and Margo estranged before secrets and new threats bring them back into one another’s orbit.

Season 2 will also introduce John Stamos, Kim Matula, Alex Fitzalan, Cam Gigandet and Dale Dickey, joining returning cast members including Dermot Mulroney, Evan Jonigkeit and Jaime Ray Newman. Executive produced Cutter said she is already excited about returning to Maple Brook, Texas, and teased what viewers can expect from the next chapter. “I’m so stoked to be heading back to Maple Brook, and I promise that once you’ve finished Season 2, you’ll be desperate to see what happens next. Buckle up, because Season 3 will be even more scandalous and twisted.” Cutter also told Netflix’s Tudum that she is proud of the Season 3 scripts currently taking shape and that the show’s world and stakes will continue to expand.
