Peacock is sharing the official trailer for The Good Daughter, a six-episode limited thriller starring Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy as sisters drawn back together by a new tragedy. Based on Karin Slaughter’s bestselling novel, the series follows Samantha and Charlotte Quinn, whose family was left fractured by a violent event 20 years earlier.

Fahy plays Charlotte, a lawyer who, like her father Rusty Quinn (Brendan Gleeson), works in the legal field. When another attack strikes the small town of Pikeville, Charlotte is the first witness at the scene, pulling her and Samantha back into a mystery connected to their painful past. As the investigation unfolds, buried memories and long-held family secrets begin to surface.

The trailer depicts the sisters as estranged but still connected by the trauma they experienced, while their father’s circumstances further draw them into the unfolding case. The story moves between the Quinn family’s past and present as Charlotte searches for answers and confronts the possibility that the truth about what happened years ago has never been fully uncovered.

Slaughter wrote all six episodes and serves as showrunner and executive producer. Steph Green, known for Watchmen and The Americans, directed all six episodes and also executive produced. The ensemble includes Olivia Williams, Harper Steele, Michael Dorman, Audrey Grace Marshall and Drew Cheek, with Byrne also serving as an executive producer.

All six episodes of The Good Daughter are scheduled to premiere Nov. 12 on Peacock. The series also will debut the same day on Sky and streaming service NOW in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
