Catherine Zeta-Jones’ revenge thriller series “Kill Jackie” will premiere Oct. 2 on AMC+, with new episodes released weekly on Fridays. The eight-episode series had previously been announced for a fall debut after AMC Global Media acquired exclusive U.S. streaming rights in July.  It is expected to debut on Prime Video in select international territories, while AMC+ will carry the series in the United States.

Zeta-Jones stars as Jackie Price, a former international drug trafficker who has spent two decades building a quiet, lavish life as an art dealer. Her carefully maintained anonymity is shattered when she discovers that a group of elite assassins known as the Seven Demons has been hired to kill her. Jackie then turns to the skills of her criminal past in an effort to eliminate her pursuers before they find her.

The series is based on “The Price You Pay,” the thriller by Nick Harkaway, who wrote the novel under the name Aidan Truhen. The adaptation was created by Conor Keane, Tom Butterworth, Peter Lawson and Damon Thomas, with Butterworth serving as writer and showrunner and Thomas directing. Zeta-Jones is also an executive producer.

The ensemble includes Daniel Ings, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Óscar Jaenada, Hattie Hook, Darci Shaw, Raff Law, Enzo Cilenti, Christine Adams, Julian Rhind-Tutt, Bill Paterson and Ron Perlman, among others. Fremantle and Steel Springs Pictures co-produced the series.
