Netflix officially renewed The Lincoln Lawyer for a fifth and final season, bringing Mickey Haller’s story to a planned conclusion. The legal drama was created for television by David E. Kelley, with production handled by A+E Studios. Season 4 premiered earlier this year on Netflix.
Series co-showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez shared their thoughts on ending the show, saying, “All good things must come to an end, but thankfully sometimes how they come to an end is up to us. From the very beginning, the mission was always not only to tell the story of Mickey Haller and his compatriots, but also to give that story a proper conclusion.” They added, “We promise you, we are right now building a final season that will provide the satisfying finale Mickey Haller deserves. We can’t wait to share it with you!”
The upcoming 10-episode season is currently filming in Los Angeles and will adapt Resurrection Walk by Michael Connelly. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo will return as defense attorney Mickey Haller. According to Netflix, the new story begins when Mickey is approached by Emi, a half-sister he never knew existed, played by Cobie Smulders. She asks for his help freeing a woman wrongly convicted of murder. As Mickey investigates the six-year-old case, he uncovers dangerous secrets, corruption, and complicated family ties. At the same time, members of his team — Lorna, Izzy, and Cisco — will face major professional challenges of their own.
Netflix also confirmed several recurring guest stars for the final season, including Amy Aquino, Angela Trimbur, Elpidia Carrillo, Nate Corddry, Tricia Helfer, and Keir O’Donnell. Previously announced additions include Chris Diamantopoulos, Corbin Bernsen, Diane Guerrero, and Steve Howey, while Neve Campbell is among the returning recurring cast members.
