‘Reacher’ is officially coming back for a fifth season, with Alan Ritchson set to return as the tough former military investigator before Season 4 has even premiered.

The early renewal highlights the massive popularity of the action drama on Prime Video, where Season 3 reportedly drew 54.6 million viewers worldwide during its first 19 days of release, becoming the platform’s biggest season launch since Fallout debuted.

Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios, said in a statement: “From Lee Child’s globally beloved novels to its standout on-screen adaptation, Reacher has evolved into a true powerhouse franchise. The series’ ability to combine high-octane action with compelling character storytelling continues to resonate with tens of millions of viewers around the world. We’re excited to move forward with a fifth season ahead of Season 4’s debut and to build on this incredible momentum.”

Inspired by Lee Child’s bestselling Jack Reacher novels, the series follows Reacher, a wandering ex-military police officer who travels the country with little more than the essentials, often stepping into dangerous situations that demand both intelligence and brute force. Season 4 adapts Gone Tomorrow, the 13th novel in the franchise. The story begins when Reacher encounters a distressed stranger on a subway ride, setting off a deadly chain of events tied to powerful enemies and a far-reaching conspiracy.

The upcoming season will also feature new cast members including Chris Marquette, Sydelle Noel, AGNEZ MO, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan, and Kathleen Robertson. Production wrapped in March, though an official premiere date has not yet been announced.
