Lisa, a member of BLACKPINK, is taking on a leading role in an upcoming romantic comedy for Netflix. The project, described as being inspired by the 1999 film Notting Hill, marks another major step in her expanding acting career. The title and release date have not yet been revealed, however, the script is being written by Katie Silberman, known for her work on Booksmart and Set It Up.

Netflix posted Instagram: “LALISA ROM-COM ERA! LISA will star in a new “Notting Hill-inspired” romantic comedy feature for Netflix written by Katie Silberman (Booksmart, Set It Up)!”

LISA —whose real name is Lalisa Manobal—made her screen debut in season three of The White Lotus and will reunite with executive producer David Bernad for this new film.

Behind the scenes, the idea for the film reportedly came together while Lisa and Bernad were working on The White Lotus, where they connected over their admiration for Notting Hill, originally starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant. Silberman later joined the project to develop the screenplay. Bernad will produce through Middle Child Productions alongside Silberman, while Lisa and Alice Kang—who previously collaborated with her on the 2025 single “Born Again”—are on board as executive producers.
