Uma Thurman is officially returning to “Dexter: Resurrection” for its second season, stepping back into the role of Charley in the Paramount+ series.
The follow-up season of the “Dexter” continuation will once again center on Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) and his son Harrison (Jack Alcott). Thurman’s character, a former special operations officer, was introduced in Season 1 as a close associate of billionaire Leon Prater (Peter Dinklage), who harbored a fascination with serial killers. By the end of the season, Charley had cut ties with Prater and left New York, choosing instead to care for her dying mother after feeling betrayed. While specific details about how Charley will re-enter the story are still under wraps, her reappearance suggests unfinished business following her dramatic exit.
Thurman’s return marks one of several major additions to the upcoming season. It has already been announced that Brian Cox will appear as Don Framt, also known as the infamous New York Ripper—a long-retired killer whose past crimes continue to haunt survivors. The character had been referenced earlier in the series when Dexter and Claudette Wallace uncovered files about him in Prater’s collection.
“Dexter: Resurrection” debuted on Paramount+ with Showtime in July 2025 and secured a renewal just a few months later. The show is led by original “Dexter” creative force Clyde Phillips, with Hall serving as both star and executive producer.
